Who we are
We are an Open and Affirming (ONA) church, affiliated with the United Church of Christ, with a vital mission to build an inclusive faith-based community where all are welcomed equally. The people of Amherst Community Church come from a variety of religious traditions. This makes for an interesting mix! We bring our questions, doubts, beliefs, criticism, and willingness to both ask questions and lean into faith in order to make our lives, and the world, a better place.
We see ourselves as a welcoming faith community, hospitable to all who come seeking the grace of God and the love of Christ. Jesus didn’t turn anybody away, and neither do we!
